Welcome to learning at home! As we navigate these times of uncertainty together, my hope is to provide you and your family with flexible and meaningful learning opportunities. Please choose activities from the weekly menu or follow the weekly schedule in a way that works for you! Think of the following activities as opportunities, not obligations.
Suggestions for Daily Routines:
Suggestions for Daily Routines:
- The "MAIN COURSE" section on the menu contains activities targeting what I consider to be foundational skills. I would suggest choosing one reading activity, one writing activity and one math activity each day. If you can only choose ONE activity for the day, choose reading!
- I highly recommend using Je lis, je lis, littératie. For Je lis and Boukili, I suggest having your child try to read each page BEFORE pressing the "play" button to hear it read correctly. I also suggest reading each book more than once to develop fluency. Visit the "READING WITH YOUR CHILD" page on my website for tips on using helpful strategies while reading with your child!
- I recommend having your child connect at least ONCE weekly through either a group video chat or an individual video chat with me. Our group chats are Tuesdays at 1:00-1:20 PM, Wednesdays at 10:00-10:20 AM and Thursdays at 11:00-11:20 AM.
